CO-CURRICULAR CODE MEETING

Tuesday, March 11

Small Auditorium 6:30 pm

If you have not attended a meeting and wish to participate in a sport, musical, play, debate,  forensics or any other extra-curricular activity it is mandatory that you attend a co-curricular code meeting.

A CO-CURRICULAR CODE CARD IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ACTIVITIES

The co-curricular code meeting is required for all students that participate in a sport or other extra curricular activity.  Both the student and parent/guardian must attend this meeting and sign a code card. The code is an acknowledgement that students agree to abide by the rules set forth by the School District of Janesville.

If a student has a signed code card on file, there is no need to attend a second meeting.  However, it is necessary to visit the Athletic Office and re-sign the code card each year.

Athletics

The following information is intended to assist spectators as they plan trips to Parker High School for indoor athletic competitions this winter:

Door #26 is located at our west athletic entrance where basketball, wrestling and gymnastics teams will enter.  Parents and community spectators making the trip to Parker for these sports would want to park in the west student lot and enter through door #26 also.

Parents and spectators for boys' swim should enter the east drive to Parker High School labeled staff lot and pool. This drive will take you behind Parker High school. Parents and spectators may park behind the school and/or in the east staff parking lot and use door #15 for entry..

By using the indicated entrances, teams and spectators will have the most direct routes to their competition areas.

This will also minimize the amount of slush/moisture that is tracked into our building which is greatly appreciated.

This school year, by state law both the student athlete and parent will be required to sign an agreement indicating that they understand the need to report and manage any and all suspected concussions.

The signed agreement must be on file in the Parker athletic office along with appropriate physical, insurance and code cards before the 1st day of practice.

Athletes may also pick this same paperwork up in the Parker High School athletic office.

Athletes must have a completed physical card, insurance / medical release (red card) and a signed code card on file prior to any competition.

The athletic office will process and will return red cards and a slip indicating clearance to practice/compete notation to the athletes when all paperwork including concussion management has been verified.

Athletes that submitted all athletic cards and concussion paper work earlier to pick up their red card and clearance to play slip.

By doing this student athletes will be certain they are ready to begin practices.

I am including a link to information that the WIAA has supplied to schools to help manage activity during a summer that has provided us with many days in the 90's.  Please review with your student athlete.
